Man arrested after this €500k cocaine haul found in house

The man is in garda custody.

A MAN HAS been arrested after gardaí discovered half a million euro worth of cocaine in a house in Dublin.

Gardaí made the discovery and arrest following an operation in Santry, Dublin 9, this afternoon.

They said that as part of an ongoing operation, Gardaí from the drugs unit attached to Ballymun Garda Station searched a house in the Oldtown Avenue area of Santry.

During the search, they discovered a quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value, subject to analysis, of €500,000.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene. He is being detained at Ballymun Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 and can be detained for up to seven days.
