Small child found hidden in plane passenger's carry-on luggage

The woman placed the child at her feet under a blanket – but the girl was discovered when she needed to go to the toilet.

A WOMAN WHO flew into Paris from Istanbul this week was found to have hidden a four-year-old girl in a bag on the plane, Air France has confirmed.

The airline said the child, travelling without a ticket, was discovered on board the flight on Monday night “hidden inside a bag”.

A source at Charles de Gaulle Airport said the woman was a resident of France who was in the process of adopting the child who was from Haiti.

“She was apparently in the transit zone in Istanbul, and had crossed the customs checkpoint with the child, when she was prevented from boarding a flight with her,” said the source.

The woman then “decided to hide the child in a bag to get aboard another flight, after buying a new ticket.

“Once on board, she placed the child at her feet, under a blanket, but the girl needed to go to the toilet and was noticed by other passengers,” the source added.

Air France said it notified French authorities and the woman was taken into custody upon landing, but prosecutors decided not to press charges.

She and the girl were however being held at the airport while authorities investigate the case.

I let my 8yr old son take a day off school last year to spend it watching silage being cut. When I asked him what he was going to tell his teacher the next day, he told me he would tell him he spent the day doing work experience…I couldnt argue with that! I had to take the day off work as a paid holiday to sit with him watching the tractors going by. It was a great memory day for him and me.

Matt, if it was Ireland the kid wouldn’t have made it in at all as they would have all headed back to the residents bar in the hotel for a tipple afterwards.

Friend of mine, not a fan until then, went to see him in Dublin around 2010 (open to correction). Met him in a bar for a few pints afterwards and he was absolutely blown away.

Been lucky enough to see the Boss play live, no-one does a show like him. Puts his heart and soul into every classic and is coolness personified. Isabelle will carry that buzz forever. Cool Dad.

Smacks of over sharing, it would be nice if it was their own private experience rather than him claiming it publicly.
