AN IRISHMAN HAS been found dead at his apartment in Portugal’s Algarve region.

The man’s body was found in his apartment in the resort town of Albufeira this morning.

The Policia Judiciaria in the region are investigating the death, but it is not known if it is considered suspicious.

The Department of Foreign Affairs says it is aware of the incident and stands ready to provide consular assistance.
