Kerry to face Derry in Croke Park All-Ireland football quarter-final double-header

The games will take place next weekend.

KERRY WILL FACE Derry in the standout fixture of next weekend’s All-Ireland senior football quarter-finals.

The sides will square off in a Croke Park double-header on Sunday [throw-in, 3.15pm], with Donegal facing Louth in the first game at 1.15pm.

GAA headquarters will host the other quarter-final double header on Saturday as Dublin continue their title defence against Galway at 6.15pm after Armagh take on Roscommon at 4.15pm.

The draw took place on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, with GAA President Jarlath Burns and Director of Club, Player and Games Administration Fergal McGill joining Darren Frehill in studio.

Repeat pairings were avoided as the fixture details were finalised in the afternoon.

Dublin, Kerry, Armagh and Donegal all progressed directly as group stage winners and come into the quarter-finals after a weekend off.

Galway, Derry, Roscommon and Louth came through preliminary quarter-finals on Saturday and Sunday.

Derry knocked Mayo out after a dramatic penalty shootout, while Roscommon stunned Tyrone.

Galway overcame Monaghan, and Louth defeated Cork to advance to their first-ever All-Ireland quarter-final.

The date, time, and venue for the 2024 Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Final has also been finalised.

Reigning champions Derry will play Armagh in O’Neill’s Healy Park, Omagh on Sunday, 7 July at 2pm.
