Teenager Ana Hick to be laid to rest in Dublin tomorrow

Ana will be deeply missed “by her heartbroken parents” the funeral listing says.

THE FUNERAL DETAILS of Ana Hick – the Dalkey teenager who died after collapsing outside a club in Dublin city centre at the weekend – have been confirmed by her family.

According to RIP.ie:

“Reposing Tuesday in Quinn’s of Glasthule from 12 noon to 3pm.

“Removal Wednesday to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey arriving for 11.30am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. House strictly private.”

The listing says Ana will be deeply missed “by her heartbroken parents Elga and Tim, her grandparents Gabby, Susan and Tim McMurray, Rosa, Eric and Niamh, the extended Hick and McMurray families and a very wide circle of friends whom she adored”.

Friends of the 18-year-old gathered last night for a memorial at the Irish Film Academy, where she had been studying.

Ana was taken to the Mater Hospital at around 3am on Sunday morning, after she collapsed outside the Twisted Pepper. She passed away on Sunday evening.

Reports suggest she may have taken two ecstasy-type pills. Gardaí area awaiting results of toxicology tests.
