Family of Ana Kriegel wants mourners to wear 'sparkle and colour' to her funeral

The 14-year-old was found dead on Thursday 17 May.

THE FAMILY OF murdered 14-year-old Anastasia Kriegel has asked for people to wear “sparkle and colour” to her funeral this Thursday.

The teenager was reported missing on Monday 14 May. She was found dead on Thursday 17 May in a disused, vacant farmhouse near Lucan in Dublin.

A 13-year-old boy has since been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with Ana Kriegel’s murder.

The family of Ana Kriegel has today released details of her funeral, which is due to take place in Newlands Cross Crematorium on Thursday at 2.30pm.

The family has requested that those who attend the funeral wear “sparkle and colour”.

“Ana loved sparkle and colour. The family wishes for the dress code to reflect this,” a notice on RIP.ie said.

It has been requested by the family that any donations at the funeral be made to the Russian Irish Adoption Group. A donation box will be available at the Crematorium.

Two books of condolences were opened by South Dublin County Council last week for members of the public to share their compassion following her death.

The books were opened in Lucan Library and the council building in Tallaght.
