Man pleads not guilty to attempted murder of wife

Andrzej Benko has pleaded not guilty to the alleged attack on his wife.

A MAN HAS pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of his wife at their home in Dublin.

Andrzej Benko allegedly attacked his wife, Joanna Benko, with a hammer at the house in Mulhuddart in west Dublin.

His wife allegedly received serious injuries in the attack at 34 Ladyswell Road on 5 July 2010.

The jury of ten men and two women have been sworn in and the case is due to begin at the Courts of Criminal Justice this afternoon.
