Aoife Quinn TV3's Tonight with Sam Smyth

Sean Quinn's daughter to appear on TV3's Tonight show

Quinn said she expects her father will join his son behind bars as the family is unable to purge their contempt.

SEAN QUINN’s DAUGHTER Aoife Quinn and her husband Stephen Kelly will give their first television interview on TV3′s Tonight with Sam Smith tonight.

The latest members of the Quinn family to speak on the TV3 show argued that the financial regulator had been unfair to the family since its decision in 2010 to place Quinn Insurance into administration.

Quinn said, “They took everything from my will to my personal bank accounts to my tax advice to every legal advice, every piece of information I had. They took it they used and they didn’t apologise, there was no apology about it.”

She said the company did take care of personal expenses like their TV package but said she did not know if it had paid for her wedding.

Stephen Kelly said they would argue that the reason the state’s insurance compensation fund is being hit by €1.6 billion is “solely down to the company being managed terribly by administrators”.

He went on to say that the performance of the whole company was “undermined” by the redundancy programme that was brought in by administrators in an effort to cut spending.

Quinn said the family is unable to purge their contempt and they do not have the assets anymore so they cannot give them back.

“Sean’s sitting in Mountjoy tonight, Daddy has been declared bankrupt, there is no pot of gold there, people think we have a pot of gold sitting under our beds at home,” she said.

She said as they are unable to adhere to the court order to reverse the transfer of assets she expects her father will join his son behind bars.

The full interview will air on TV3 at 11pm tonight.
