Man arrested following Coolock robbery

A man entered a premises in Coolock and is believed to have been armed with a firearm.

A MAN HAS been arrested by gardaí following a suspected armed robbery in Coolock.

Gardaí in Coolock arrested the man, who is in his mid 20s, yesterday evening following a robbery that occurred at a premises in Newtown Industrial Estate, Coolock at approximately 6pm the same day.

One man, believed to have been armed with a firearm, entered the premises, threatened staff and subsequently left with nothing. No persons were injured during the incident.

In a follow-up search the man was arrested and he is currently detained at Coolock Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
