Arrest made in Tallaght murder investigation

John Murdoch died after he was stabbed in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A MAN IN his 30s has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the murder of John Murdoch in Tallaght on Saturday morning.

Gardaí arrested the man in the Dublin area this afternoon. He is currently being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Murdoch, 23, was stabbed after a night socialising with friends in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Tallaght Hospital.

It’s understood that he and a friend met a group of three men in the Cushlawn Dale estate area in Tallaght in the early hours.
