Man arrested over death of woman at Navan apartment

The man in his 30s is being detained at Navan Garda Station.

A MAN IN his 30s has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman at an apartment in Meath last week.

Gardaí confirmed that the man was arrested today and is being held at Navan Garda Station.

The body of the woman, who was in her 30s and believed to be from eastern Europe, was discovered at the Bective House Apartments  at around 7pm on Friday night. Two children were at the scene when the discovery was made.

A man was arrested at the scene and was subsequently treated in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for unspecified injuries.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
