Gardaí investigating rural burglaries carry out raids in Dublin

Searches were carried out by gardaí in Dublin yesterday.

FOUR MEN HAVE been arrested in connection with burglaries and thefts following a number of search operations in Dublin yesterday morning.

The operations were part of ongoing investigations in the Tipperary and South Eastern region.

Gardaí from Tipperary, assisted by officers from Carlow and armed gardaí, carried out the searches.

The searches were carried out in the Clondalkin, Ballyfermot and Pearse Street areas of Dublin.

Four men were arrested and detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at Roscrea, Thurles, Nenagh and Carlow garda stations.

During the searches, gardaí recovered a large quantity of stolen property including a trailer, power tools and other assorted items.

Three of the males were expected to appear before Naas District Court at 10.30am this morning.
