Two men arrested in connection with Tallaght murder in June

Neil Fitzgerald was found shot dead at Hills Lane, Tallaght on 5 June this year.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested in connection with the murder of Neil Fitzgerald in Tallaght on 5 June this year.

Fitzgerald’s body was found on Hills Lane in Crooksling, Tallaght, with gunshot wounds. It is believed that he shot on the same site that he was discovered.

The two men – aged 29 and 52 years – were arrested this morning in Dublin City Centre and Co Louth.

They are currently being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

Four people were originally arrested as part of the investigation. A spokesperson for An Garda Síochana told TheJournal.ie that no one has yet been charged in connection with the murder.
