Appeal for witnesses after woman assaulted in Dublin city centre

The woman sustained minor injuries in the assault at Christchurch.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to come forward after a woman in her early 20s was assaulted in Dublin on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred at Christchurch in the city centre at around 5.30pm when the woman was attacked by two young men and sustained minor injuries.

Gardaí said that initial investigations indicate that the two also took some property from the woman but did not disclose what this was.

Investigating officers say that at least one member of the public witnessed the attack and called on her, and anyone else who saw what happened, to come forward.
