Two men and two women arrested over Lamb Alley assault

The victim remains in a serious condition in Beaumont hospital.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING A serious assault in Dublin’s city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning have arrested four people.

Two men and two women – all aged in their 20s – were detained today and are being questioned at Irishtown, Pearse Street, Kevin Street and Kilmainham garda stations.

The two men are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, while the women were arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the Persons Act.

The victim – also a man in his 20s – was found with serious head injuries at Lamb Alley in Dublin 8 on 19 January. He was taken to St James’ Hospital but later transferred to Beaumont where he remains in a serious condition.
