Man dies from injuries after serious assault in Dublin

A man in his 40s has been arrested in relation to the incident.

A MAN HAS died after he was attacked in Dublin in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The man, aged in his late-50s, passed away this morning from his injuries.

He had been taken to St James’ Hospital following the attack, which took place outside Park View apartments, directly across from Harold’s Cross park on the south side of the city.

Gardaí said that they had arrested a man aged in his early-40s in relation to the assault and he is currently being detained under Section 4, CJA at Terenure Garda Station.

They are asking anyone who witnessed the event or who was in the area between Harold’s Cross Bridge and Terenure between 3.30 and 4am to contact them.
