Man shot in leg by two attackers 'dressed in black'

The 33-year-old victim was attacked in a suburban alleyway in Newtownabbey last night.

DETECTIVES IN NEWTOWNABBEY, Co Antrim, are appealing for information following a shooting incident last night.

A 33-year-old man was shot by two men in an alleyway in the Forthill Grove area of the town at around 8.30pm.

The victim was shot in the leg. He’s been taken to hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police say the two men who carried out the attack were dressed in black.

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact the PSNI at Newtownabbey Station on 0845 600 8000 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
