Ambulance crew help deliver baby boy in Wicklow

An early-morning callout led to a new arrival.

AMBULANCE CREWS FROM Wicklow and Arklow helped deliver a baby boy yesterday morning.

The baby was born after an early-morning callout.

The National Ambulance Service received at 6.29am yesterday. The nearest available ambulance was dispatched and arrived at 6.53am.

In a statement today, the HSE said:

The crew assisted in the delivery of a baby, and mother and baby were transported to the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street.
