Woman gives birth to baby girl on flight to Japan

The mother and baby are currently in hospital and are believed to be doing well.

A CANADIAN WOMAN gave birth on a flight to Tokyo yesterday.

It’s understood the 23-year-old went into labour going over the Pacific Ocean.

Airport officials said the Air Canada Boeing 767 made an emergency landing at Narita airport.

According to The Japan Times, the woman was taken to hospital after leaving the aircraft in a wheelchair.

Her partner was holding the newborn. The father told Japenese television ”I couldn’t imagine. This happened completely unexpectedly” adding, “It turned out to be a beautiful baby girl.”

The mother and baby are currently in hospital and are believed to be doing well.

A woman passenger told a television programme, ”Everyone was clapping their hands.

She’s such a cute baby with big eyes.
