13 brilliantly gas moments from last night's BAFTAs

They really should have just kept the camera on Emma Thompson all night.

LAST NIGHT’S BAFTAS may not have proven quite as exciting as the year before – we’re looking at you Eddie Redmayne – but the annual awards ceremony certainly did offer up a few televisual treats.

The film world’s beautiful people gathered in London to celebrate themselves and their colleagues with a healthy dose of wit, sarcasm and the odd tear-shedding moment.

The star of the show was undoubtedly one Emma Thompson, but here are just a few brilliantly gas BAFTA moments from the last night’s broadcast.

The extremely warm reception for Leonardo Di Caprio on the red carpet.

“Leo, Leo, Leo…” the crowd roared, much to the amusement of the Wolf of Wall Street star.

The love for the star was also shared by the BBC One Twitter account.
