Man takes to the sky in deck chair suspended by 120 balloons

Daniel Boria said it was the most fun thing he’s ever done.

A CANADIAN MAN created a scene straight out of the movie Up when he tied 120 giant balloons to a deck chair and sent himself high into the sky floating through the clouds on it.

Daniel Boria spent about 20 minutes in the air before flipping out of the deck chair and parachuting down to safety.

He told the Calgary Herald it was the most fun thing he has ever done, though he was arrested shortly after his feet hit the ground. He has since been charged with one count of mischief causing danger to life.

I was going almost 1,000 feet a minute. It was crazy. I was looking up at the balloons and a few were popping as I rose…when one of those big balloons pop it sounds like a gun going off. I was looking up at the balloons popping and looking down at my feet dangling…through the clouds and below me I could see 747s landing.

The stunt had been planned for months and Boria spend $12,000 on the helium alone. He was helped on the day by 20 employees from his company All Clean Natural. He hopes to get his GoPros back from the police soon so he can share the incredible footage he captured.

The 26-year-old claims he did not get his inspiration from Up, but with scenes like the video below, we’re not sure we believe him:
