Three youths arrested over murder of young man in Belfast

Police say the man had sustained a number of injuries.

THREE YOUTHS HAVE were arrested today in Belfast in connection with the murder of a young man whose body was found in the street this morning.

The man’s body was found at 1am this morning at Glasvey Close in west Belfast. He had sustained a number of injuries and police had appealed to the public for information.

They are also investigating a serious assault on another young man who was in the company of the deceased. He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

This evening they confirmed three people had been arrested – two aged 18 and one aged 16. They were arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Detective chief inspector Gareth Talboth said a post-mortem will be carried out but it is believed the young man died from the injuries he received in an attack.
