Man found dead in lake in Belfast park

Police are investigating the discovery of the man’s body this afternoon.

A MAN HAS been found dead in a lake in a Belfast park.

Detectives from PSNI Serious Crime Branch have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of his body.

The man’s body was found in a lake in the Alexandra Park area of North Belfast this afternoon by police shortly after 3.30pm. A post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

Police are appealing for information and in particular would appeal to anyone who was in the park yesterday morning, Tuesday 8 October, between 8.30am and 9.30am to contact detectives at Antrim Road on 0845 600 8000

Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information anonymously, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
