The billionaire Microsoft founder was visiting to discuss development aid priorities for Ireland’s EU Presidency.

BILLIONAIRE MICROSOFT FOUNDER and philanthropist Bill Gates today met with Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore and President Michael D Higgins at Government Buildings and Áras An Uachtaráin.

Gates was visiting to discuss development aid priorities for Ireland’s European Union Presidency including the size of the EU’s Emergency Aid Reserve and the European Development Fund.

Gates is visiting a number of European countries ahead of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
