Security operation ends at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre

A SECURITY OPERATION at the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre in west Dublin has ended.

The shopping centre was earlier evacuated and there was a heavy garda presence at the scene, including the armed Emergency Response Unit.

It is believed the incident involved the suspected presence of an armed individual. A garda spokesperson confirmed the incident has been “stood down”.
