Man arrested in connection with false imprisonment of teenager

He has since been released and a file prepared for the DPP.

A FILE HAS been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) after a woman claimed she was falsely imprisoned in a house near Blanchardstown.

The 19-year-old eastern European woman was found at a property in Tyrellstown on Tuesday.

Gardaí arrested a man in his 20s, taking him to Blanchardstown Garda Station.

He has since been released and a file prepared for the DPP.

The Irish Sun reports that the woman was rescued after gaining access to a mobile phone, calling her family and spelling out a street sign.

Blanchardstown Garda Station is handling the investigation.
