Bodies of Irish woman and her son found in London house

The pair were found yesterday.

THE BODIES OF an Irish woman and her son have been found at a house in London.

Metropolitan Police say that they forced entry to the house in Ruislip yesterday after “welfare concerns being raised for the occupants”.

Inside, they found the bodies of a 37-year-old woman and a seven-year-old boy.

While formal identification is taking place, detectives believe that the deceased are Sinead Higgins and her son Oisin O’Driscoll.

Post-mortem examinations are scheduled to take place tomorrow and next of kin have been informed.

Detective Inspector Dave Bolton, from the Homicide and Major Crime, said they do not believe a third party was involved.

“The investigation is at a very early stage but enquiries so far lead us to believe there is a likelihood that the tragic events that led to the deaths do not involve a third party.

“We are appealing to anyone who has any information to come and speak with us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the incident room on 020 8785 8244 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
