Body of elderly man discovered in Cork house

Gardaí have sealed off the scene and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the discovery of the body of an elderly man in Co. Cork.

The discovery was made early this afternoon at a house in Knockgorm in Cloyne with the man believed to be in his early 70s.

The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination and office of the State Pathologist  has been notified.

A post-mortem is expected to be carried out later this evening or early tomorrow.
