Man arrested after body of woman found in Meath apartment

The man is currently receiving medical attention in hospital.

A MAN HAS been arrested after the body of a woman was found at an apartment in Meath.

The discovery of the woman in her early 30s was made at approximately 7pm this evening at Bective House Apartments, Beaufort Place in Navan.

The man, who is in his mid 30s, was arrested by gardaí and is currently being treated in hospital. His injuries have not been specified.

The scene has been sealed off so a full technical and forensic examination can be carried out. The body remains at the scene.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified of the discovery.

Gardaí say they are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death.
