Gardaí investigating after pipe bomb explodes in Dublin housing estate

GARDAÍ IN COOLOCK are investigating after a suspected pipe bomb exploded overnight in the north of Dublin.

The incident happened in the Newbury Park area of Clonshaugh.

The device went off at around 10pm at the front of a house.

A Defence Forces bomb disposal unit were called to the scene.

No one was injured in the incident.

Gardaí in Coolock are investigating the attack.
