Watch: Boris Johnson and Ed Miliband bicker like schoolboys until told to 'shut up'

Andrew Marr described is as the “best television of the week so far”.

LONDON MAYOR Boris Johnson and Labour Party leader Ed Miliband appeared on BBC One’s Andrew Marr Show this morning and provided what Marr himself described as the “best television of the week so far”.

We would like to say it started out polite but it really didn’t, with Miliband tearing into Boris and asking him why he is in favour of “state-sponsored tax avoidance”. He was referring to his own party’s plan to scrap a rule that lets rich residents cap the tax they pay on foreign income.

Johnson was not going to take that lying down, and he reminded Miliband that Labour did nothing on the issue while in power.

“Is this the Ed Miliband who was in the Treasury with Gordon Brown? Are you the same creature?” he asked.

After letting the two politicians bicker for two full minutes back and forth like schoolboys – and it turns out they actually did go to school together back in the day – an extremely amused Marr told them to “shut up now, please, sorry”.
