Boy (12) in serious condition after bike hit by delivery van

It happened at lunchtime in Doagh, Co Antrim.

A 12-YEAR-OLD boy is in a serious condition in hospital after his bike was hit by a delivery van in Co Antrim at lunchtime.

It happened in the townland of Doagh, north of Newtownabbey, at around 1.50pm, according to the PSNI.

He has been taken to a nearby hospital where his condition is described as ‘serious’.

Traffic restrictions have been put in place, and an investigation is under way.
