Police said the footage was “a bit of a warning for people to be careful”.

POLICE IN QUEENSLAND, Australia, have released CCTV footage showing a group of schoolchildren narrowly avoiding being struck by a motorcycle and its debris after it had smashed into a jeep.

In the video, the children can be seen trying to cross the road. As they step out, the motorcycle goes through an intersection and collides with a jeep.

The four children narrowly avoid being hit by the bike it skids past them, debris flying.

ABC reported the 23-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious leg injuries and is in hospital in a stable condition. Police released the video in an appeal for witnesses to come forward to assist in their enquiries.

A spokesperson said it was also “a bit of a warning for people to be careful”.
