In pictures: The third Pamplona bull run with protests but minus gorings

Thousands ran alongside the bulls, but only two were taken to hospital.

NO ONE WAS gored (thankfully!) on the third day of the bull run at the San Fermin festival in the northern Spanish city of Pamplona.

Thousands of people ran alongside the six bulls through the narrow streets, but only two were taken to hospital for bruising in the event that lasted just under three minutes.

The 8am run sees thrill-seekers race with fighting bulls and their guiding steers along a 850-metre route from a holding pen to Pamplona’s bull ring.

The nine-day street partying festival became world famous with the 1926 publication of Ernest Hemingway’s novel “The Sun Also Rises.” It attracts tens of thousands of foreigners each year.

Here are the pictures. Each to their own.
