Bus Éireann services to operate as normal today

A minimum of 24 hours notice will be given for any industrial action, unions officials have said.

BUS ÉIREANN HAS said that all services will operate as normal today, after 48 hours of talks which are set to continue.

Customers are advised to check www.buseireann.ie today and national and local media for latest updates on the operation of services.

Talks between management and union representatives will continue today at the Labour Relations Commission.

A Siptu spokesperson said that union members at Irish Rail and Dublin Bus may be balloted for industrial action in coming days, following calls for other transport workers to show solidarity with Bus Eireann workers, but that talks are proceeding with a view to settling the dispute.
