Poll: Do you support the strike by Bus Éireann workers?

An all-out strike began at midnight.

FROM MIDNIGHT, AN immediate, all-out strike Bus Éireann strike began.

The National Bus and Rail Union (NBRU) said in a statement that all five unions representing workers had met in relation to a letter sent by Bus Éireann workers detailing cost-cutting measures that were to be implemented immediately.

They decided they had no alternative but to strike.

The state-owned transport company faced losses of €10 million last year. Bus Éireann says it needs to make changes to employee contracts to keep the company viable.

These include job losses, changes to bus routes, cuts in overtime and a range of other measures.

So, today we’re asking you: Do you support the strike by Bus Éireann workers?
