New buses will be added to the company’s fleet in early 2012, which will “enhance the service” it already gives.

BUS EIREANN IS to enhance its fleet with the addition of new buses in 2012.

A spokesperson said that there will be 60 new vehicles coming in by the end of the year, which will go into operation in early 2012.

The new buses will be single deck buses, coaches and double deck buses.

The company said it was time to upgrade the fleet as the average age of the fleet is over 5 years and in line with internation practice they need to upgrade on a regular basis.

The new buses are more efficient and “will also enhance the service that we are able to give”, said the spokesperson.
