Poll: Should buskers be allowed have amplifiers?

What do you think?

DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL has recommended the total banning of the use of amplifiers by buskers on the city’s streets.

The council says noise complaints are rising over the near 500 buskers in the capital. The ban would see many forced to alter or stop their performances.

Buskers argue that the ban would severely limit the ability of many to make a living or perform. But businesses in the city say the noise is distracting and off-putting for customers.

We’re asking: Should buskers be allowed have amplifiers?

Poll Results:

No (9163)
Yes (3498)
I don't know (666)
