Arrest made over late night Camden St attack that left man with head injuries

The man in his 20s was subsequently released.

A MAN WAS arrested and later released in connection with a serious assault on a man left badly beaten on Dublin’s Camden Street in November.

The attack happened just after 5am on Sunday morning 30 November when a victim in is early twenties received serious head injuries after being attacked by another man.

The attacker, who gardaí said at the time was a similar age, then ran down Camden Street towards Wexford Street as the injured man lay on the footpath.

Yesterday morning at 6am gardaí arrested a man in his late 20′s in the north Dublin area in connection with the attack and brought him to Kevin Street Garda Station.

The man was held for a period but was later released without charge with gardaí saying a file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
