Man in his late 70s arrested after cannabis seizure worth €250k

Gardaí found the drugs after searching two houses in rural Cork this morning.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested after Gardaí discovered a large number of cannabis plants during a search of two houses in rural Cork this morning.

The men, one aged in his late 70s and the other in his mid 50s, are being held at Kanturk Garda Station in connection with the seizure.

Gardaí carried out a planned search of the houses in Kanturk and Newmarket this morning  where they found cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €250,000.

Investigations are ongoing.
