Cannabis plants worth €160,000 seized in Co Kerry

200 plants at various stages of growth were found during a planned search on a house in Rathmore.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING the cultivation of cannabis in the Kerry region have seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €160,000.

The plants were recovered in a planned search of a house in Rathmore, about 20 kilometres east of Killarney.

Gardaí said around 200 plants were recovered, in faviour stages of maturity.

The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.

No arrests have been made.
