Major cannabis seizure in north Dublin suburb

Two cars were stopped in the Coolock/Santry area.

GARDAÍ HAVE MADE a major cannabis seizure in the suburbs of north Dublin.

Two vehicles travelling in the Coolock/Santry area were stopped by officers from the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Unit this afternoon and were searched.

During the course of a search, a large amount of cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €500,000 was seized.

Four men were in the two vehicles and they have all been arrested.

The men are aged 27, 30, 36 and 58 years and are being held at Coolock and Ballymun garda stations.

Gardaí say that follow up searches are now being carried out.
