Cannabis worth almost €700k found in bags at Clare house this afternoon

A 24-year-old man was arrested and is being held.

CANNABIS HERB WORTH almost €700,000 has been seized by gardaí in a search of a house in Clare this afternoon.

Gardaí raided the house in Querrin, Kilkee, as part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing in Clare and Limerick.

During the search, gardaí found 34 kilos of the drug, which has an estimated street value of €680,000, packed into large green and transparent bags.

A 24-year-old man was arrested and is being held at Kilrush Garda Station for questioning.
