€60k in cash and luxury car seized in gangland crackdown

Homes were searched, in addition to a solicitor’s office, an accountant’s office and a garage.

OVER €60,000 IN cash has been seized by gardaí in an operation targeting a Dublin organised crime gang.

The Criminal Assets Bureau carried out raids at homes and a range of businesses yesterday – including a solicitor’s office, an accountant’s office and a motor garage.

Officers seized documentation and mobile phones in addition to the cash. A luxury car (valued between €30k – €40k) was also seized under the recently amended Proceeds of Crime legislation.

Local Garda detective units also assisted in the raid, a statement from the force said today.

No arrests were made during the latest phase of the investigation.
