No injuries after car collides with Luas

The incident happened on the service’s Red Line earlier this evening.

A LUAS HAS collided with a car in south-west Dublin.

The incident happened earlier this afternoon when the vehicle crashed into one of the light-railway carriages on the Red Line.

The scene was attended by one unit from Dublin Fire Brigade and two ambulance units.

Thankfully nobody was injured during the collision, although there were significant stoppages on the line and delays in traffic coming into the city.

The service is back up and operating again and delays in the area have now cleared.

In unrelated incidents, there have also been delays on the Luas Green Line this evening and a crash on the Stillorgan Road outbound at the Brewery Road junction has created delays for traffic coming into the city from Donnybrook.
