Overturned car on N7 cleared after causing severe traffic delays

Drivers are being warned to be extra cautious if driving this weekend.

A CAR THAT overturned on the Naas Road caused severe traffic delays this morning.

The road collision occurred at around 10am today, and the car involved blocked one lane between Newlands Cross and the Red Cow Interchange.

Two fire service units from Tallaght’s B Watch and Tallaght’s Ambulance responded to the call and waited at the scene for a tow truck.

The vehicle has been cleared in the past few minutes and delays have eased.

Drivers are being warned to be extra cautious on Irish roads for the next few days, as there tends to be an increase in road traffic collisions over bank holiday weekends.

Over the last weekend in March, seven people lost their lives on Irish roads between Friday and Sunday.
