Man arrested and ammunition seized after car is stopped in Dublin

The car was stopped by gardaí on the Finglas Road yesterday evening.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man in his 20s after stopping and searching a car on the Finglas Road in Dublin yesterday evening.

During the search a quantity of ammunition was seized.

The operation was carried out as part of an ongoing investigation targeting serious criminal activity in the Dublin region and involved gardaí attached to the Special Detective Unit.

The man is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Investigations are ongoing.
