Two arrested after gardaí seize €1 million in cash in Limerick sting

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED two men after seizing more than €1 million in cash during a search operation in Limerick.

The find at a property at Portcrusha near Castleconnell yesterday afternoon was part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime in the county.

Gardaí from the Division Drugs and Crime Units were involved in the search.

The men, one in his 40s and the other in his 50s, were arrested during the search and are being held at Henry Street Garda Station, where they can be held for up to seven days.

The investigation is ongoing.
