Cathriona White to be laid to rest in her hometown on Saturday

The aspiring actress and make-up artist died tragically in late September.

TIPPERARY NATIVE CATHRIONA White, who died tragically in Los Angeles on 28 September, will be buried in Ireland this weekend.

The make-up artist and aspiring actress (30), who was the ex-girlfriend of Hollywood actor Jim Carrey, was found dead at home by a friend. It is believed Cathriona White took her own life.

Carrey said in a statement that he was “deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona”.

White was married to an American man, who is understood to be helping her family with the funeral arrangements.

Father Tadhg Furlong, Parish Priest of Cappawhite Parish, confirmed today that the following funeral arrangements have been announced by the White family:

White (LA & Greenfields, Cappawhite, Co Tipperary) September 28th 2015 at her residence Cathriona; daughter of the late Pat; Sadly missed by her sisters & brothers Lisa, James, Larina, Sarah & Tadhg, stepmother Bríd, mother Brigid, grandmother Lily, grandfather James, brothers-in-law John & Damien, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, relatives & a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at White’s Funeral Home, Cappawhite Friday evening from 5pm with removal at 8pm to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cappawhite. Requiem Mass Saturday at 11.30am and burial afterwards in Cappawhite Cemetery.

Inside the Our Lady of Fatima Church – which has a capacity of 300 – has been reserved for family, loved ones and parishioners during the funeral liturgy and funeral mass.

An external loud speaker and a small reserved area for media will be located on the church grounds.
