Body of man discovered in slurry pit on Cavan farm

The HSA is now investigating the circumstances of the man’s death but it is believed he may have fallen into the tank.

THE BODY OF a man has been recovered from a slurry pit on a farm in Cavan and the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) is now investigating the circumstances of his death.

A garda spokesperson confirmed that a man in his 50s died yesterday on a farm in Drumeague, Co Cavan.

They said it appears to have been a “tragic accident” and it is believed that the man may have fallen into the slurry tank.

The HSA has launched an investigation into the incident.
